These guys do everything it says on the tin. My first surprise was finding a courteous, patient and helpful voice at the other end of the line when I called initially at 5.20 pm one evening. Far from any hint that he wanted to shut up shop, Mark Pemberton took as much time as I needed to talk through my requirements. He and Tim visited next morning, even though I live in South East London, and my new boiler was fitted the following Monday.                                                                    

Quite extraordinary service, particularly in this day and age when it is difficult not to question, and then think twice about anything anyone says regarding qoutes and timing for plumbing, heating, electrical, building jobs etc.  

The other Mark(Nicholls), Barry and Tom got going with the job at 7.15 am and I can only be boringly repetitive of others similar experiences when I say each man knew exactly the job he had to do, and didn't let up until everything was completely finished, tested and cleared some 11 hours later. I think I was probably more exhausted than they were when I finally managed to get rid of them!

Unfortunately for me, this was not quite the end of the story. The increased pressure, as a result of the new combi boiler, gave rise to a leak in my recessed shower mixer, a problem no-one could have forseen. To my horror, I went down to my kitchen at 8.30 am on Good Friday morning ( three days after installation ) to find one of the worktops awash. The leak had built up sufficiently to be now dripping down through a small length of ceiling.         

I don't know how many people have had to test Mark P's words when he says he is always at the end of a phone. Well, sure enough, and Easter weekend or not, happy to help, Mark and Tim duly arrived the next afternoon, Easter Saturday, to try and find where the leak was. This they did, and I then managed to live with a patch up situation until it was properly fixed by a regular plumber some days later. In the meantime, poor old Mark had to suffer yet another lenghty phone conversation with me when I called for advice on shower mixers. His response? As charming, good humoured, patient and helpful as ever. What a team, all in all!  

These days any praise which appears somewhat over the top tends to make one even more cautious, and in need of a little help from the salt cellar. I know that when I was reading through all the previous testimonials on the website, I was shaking my head in disbelief long before I got to the end.Now I know what they were on about and I wonder how many of them, like me, have never written a similar testimonial before.

To anyone reading this who may be looking for top notch service from top notch professionals at a reasonable price, especially when one counts in the peace of mind provided by 5 years parts and labour guarantee, look no further.

It is good and it is true. What I still can't quite work out is how they are evidently so busy and yet still manage to fit everybody in the next day! Beats me, but who's complaining.

Our boiler broke down over the weekend in January and it was obvious it was time to replace it.In desperation we made frantic calls to various boiler repair / replacement companies.Unfortunately we soon learnt that many would not come out to quote for a new boiler for at least over a week.!!!

Accepting that we would need to just bear having cold washes and no heating in the house when the temperatures were droping to 0'c we were very stressed.Only when your boiler is not there do you realise that it is the heart of your home.!

I somehow while searching Worcester Boilers came across the website of AllGasheating! I made a call and spoke to Mark. Mark explained about boilers and what they could do.We arranged to meet at 11.00am same day.!.. as promised Mark and his colleague were at our home exactly at 11.00am and looked at our old boiler and explained the costs ( which was over £1000 less than several quotes we had been indicated). Mark also said they could have the boiler fitted the next day!!! I REALLY DID NOT BELIEVE THESE GUYS!!!..guess what...as promised they had 3 highly professional Corgi fitters at our doorstep at exactly 7.30am!..and finished a lovely job by 12.30pm!!. 2 hours earlier than they expected.They ensured dustsheets were available and done a WONDERFULL, EXCELLENT JOB! THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST..I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH EXCELLENT SERVICE!!....DO NOT USE ANYONE ELSE...GET THESE GUYS if you need a boiler and if you don't believe them or me ...just read the other opinions!

It's only days before Christmas 2007, over a year after we got Mark and his team at Allgas to install our new combi boiler.I am stuck over 300 miles from home, my wife is home waiting for a gas stove install.A while after the installation is complete she discovers that the stove installation has caused the heating to stop.We call Allgas and Mark manages to track down our model of boiler , and find a method to enable my wife to resolve the issue within 10 minutes; ensuring there is hot water and a warm house for our new baby.No other company has ever provided that quality of service before sales, to receive it over a year after is incredible.

Your team has just left and ' wow!' is all I can say - what a fantastic job! I stumbled upon your website in a desperate search to find someone to fit a new boiler and central heating system asap. On calling you I was put through to Mark who explained everything extremely clearly to me and then arranged to visit me at a time convenient - a Saturday no less! Mark then took me through the details and provided me with a quote. Obviuosly I visited other suppliers and received a myriad of different quotes plus contrasting information - extremely confusing when you're a gal living on her own.I decided to go with you guys as you seemed very professional, were not patronising and said you could get the job done in a day - although I have to say I was slightly dubious about the latter. However was I glad to be proved wrong! At 7.30am prompt four guys landed on my doorstep and it just went from there. In February 2007 we found evidence of damage to the radiators in our north london home that could probably be traced to the boiler already installed when we moved into the property in 1986. Having invited several firms to propose systems to suit our needs we were faced with a potentially confusing range of options, all costing several thousands of pounds and involving the risk associated with structual work.

The analysis given by Mark Pemberton of Allgas was compelling.We were surprised to find that, although the system he recommended was in some ways the most ambitious answer to the problem posed, it was also competitive on cost. The two determinants for us were: firstly, the confidence that Mark's analysis gave us that we could safely exile the boiler to the loft space ( freeing up space in the kitchen and former hot cylinder space ); second, that the works could be completed in a third of the time required by competitors!

On the appointed day a flock of elves desended on us and carried out the whole operation in a highly organised way, dealing with contingencies and leaving a fully operational condensing boiler that ( somewhat beyond our expectations ) feeds a generous shower - even when others are drawing on the supply.

Just wanted to say what a great job the guys did for my family and I. Like many cases, we too were left in the lurch by an engineer who simply condemned my perfectly working boiler,telling me that it was too old to get parts for, and that he wouldn't be able to fit a new one for a few weeks!

Mark and his team were fantastic. Why?

When contact with Mark was initially made over the phone, he took a lot of time to explain the different boiler system options available to us.

Though he already had a busy schedule, he accommodated our emergency situation - our boiler had broken down during a holiday and it took him & his team only one and a half days to come after the first call.

When they arrived they were very careful not to make any dirt in the house, covering all work areas with dustsheets - again a lot of patient explaining was done before they kicked off with the job.

You can tell these guys have known eachother and worked together for a while - they work very efficiently together as a team each focusing on a different task ( one removing an old immersion heater, another removing & installing the boiler, another supporting the team etc, etc ).

Throughout the day Mark took time to update us and keep us upto date with how they were getting on.

The workmanship was very good - everything has been installed very professionally and in line with all gas, building and electric regulations.

All in all a very impressive company on all fronts which I would use again - I have already recommended Mark & his team to family and friends.

I would like to thank the whole team for the fantastic boiler installation you did a few weeks ago. Should you wish to have a comment for your new website please use the following: Getting a new boiler and having it installed seemed like a mammoth task. After meeting with numerous companies to hear their suggestions and estimates, I felt more confused than when I started. The Allgas Heating & Plumbing Ltd's initial meeting definitely stood out. They immediately showed their credentials, were confident in what was and was not possible for my installation, explained clearly what they would do and discussed things that I had not even considered. They knew what they were talking about. But the more impressed I was with the 'talk', the more worried I was about job. Was it too good to be true? Well I am glad to say it was true. The team arrived at 8am as promised and it was like a military operation. The tools were unloaded from the van, the dust sheets were laid over the carpet and the work began. Like a finely tuned machine, each of the team knew their role and got to it. One man was working on uninstalling the old boiler, one was installing the new boiler and one was removing the water tank. Later in the day another man came to remove the old parts to dispose of them properly and a roofer came to install the new flue. The radiator system was power flushed and a radiator that did not work now does to my surprise. They worked throughout the day and even made their own tea! This was all done in 1 day. As promised the job was complete by 4pm, actually 10 minutes earlier. We just had to ensure the correct paper work was exchanged and I had a lesson about the boiler's controls. The relief then came that everything indeed went as was promised. It was an impressive removal and installation. To further my delight the work done around the area of the old boiler and flue was very impressive. They finished this area as neat as possible. As a bonus my water pressure is now stronger. Two weeks later a Corgi certificate arrived for my files. The job was complete. Allgas is a professional operation doing what they promise in a military fashion. They are hardworking professionals who know what they are doing. It was money definitely well spent and to use the cliché I would not hesitate to recommend them and already have done so. We would like to say a big thank you for the recent work done on our central heating system, which had been out of action for (a sometimes very cold!) 18 months.  We cannot thank you enough for sending such an efficient and focused team of people who managed to refit the entire system within a day.  Not only did they arrive promptly (in fact ten minutes earlier than they said they would, at 7:20am), but to top off a great service they brought coffee and chocolate Hobnobs.  Definitely a service with a difference.

We have had some bad experiences with plumbers in the past, but Mark (Pemberton) and his team are different.  Mark was very patient in talking us through, step by step, what the team were doing and how it was going to work, which made a big difference to our peace of mind.  He was also very honest about the work that would or would not be required and saved us £300 when the work carried out meant that a piece of equipment was superfluous to requirements.

This kind of honesty, high-quality work and clarity of dealing means that we will certainly use Allgas again if we need future work done.  We highly recommend them to others and thank them for the work they did.
